Solemnities and Feasts This Week<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Friday, 14 August:<\/strong> Feast of the Vigil of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saturday, 15 August:<\/strong> The Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2. Eucharistic Adoration on Friday<\/h3>\n<p>There will be Eucharistic Adoration on Friday, 14 August, from <strong>17:00 to 17:45<\/strong>. During Adoration, Confessions will be available from <strong>17:00 to 17:30<\/strong>. All parishioners are warmly encouraged to participate in the Adoration and the Holy Mass.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Parish Day for Grandparents and the Elderly<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly 2026<\/strong> was observed on Sunday, 26 July, under the theme: <em>\u201cI will never forget you\u201d (cf. Isaiah 49:15).<\/em> St. Ansgar Parish will celebrate its <strong>Parish Day for Grandparents and the Elderly<\/strong> on <strong>Saturday, 22 August 2026<\/strong>. May the Lord bless them with good health, happiness, protection, and many more fruitful years.<\/li>\n<li>Our next <strong>5-minute Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary<\/strong> will take place on <strong>Sunday, 9 August 2026<\/strong>, immediately after the <strong>11:00 High Mass<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Our next <strong>English Mass<\/strong> will be celebrated on <strong>Sunday, 23 August 2026, at 15:00<\/strong>. This will be followed by our monthly fellowship and get-together in the parish hall. Everyone is warmly invited.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Annual Mass and Get-Together of the English-speaking and French-speaking African Communities<\/strong> with the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Oslo, <strong>Most Rev. Fredrik Hansen<\/strong>, will take place on <strong>Saturday, 19 September 2026, in Oslo<\/strong>.
